This section describes the major structure of 2i2c and how it is broken into functional groups and teams.
Here’s an overview of our organizational structure and reporting lines. See the links in the digram for more information about each team.
Functional teams¶
Functional areas are organized around responsibilities, skills, and career tracks. Reporting lines are within a functional area. Each area has a top-level section in our team compass, and it is that team’s responsibility to keep its content up-to-date.
Executive Director¶
The Executive Director leads 2i2c’s organization, and reports to the Steering Council.

The Steering Council provides accountability to the Executive Director, and provides strategic oversight over 2i2c’s mission.
Fiscal sponsorship and non-profit status¶
2i2c is a fiscally sponsored project of Code for Science and Society, a US 501(c)(3) public charity.
